It appears to me that Keith might be the biggest victim in all of this.

This underscores to me what a bunch of utter cowards occupy our elite institutions. Yet another example of them caving to childish, vindictive petulance, and to the related psychosis of victimhood. They're all pathetic enablers of profoundly antisocial behavior.

Make lying shameful again
Its incredible how these women are allowed to retroactively change their mind about something that happened in the past and face no repercussions. People like her need to be treated as pariahs.

DAs offices are breeding grounds for career criminals
Replying to @nickiclyne
People forget how many of our politicians started their political careers as prosecutors. Outside of actual capital crimes like murder the majority of prosecutions are politically motivated and designed to boost future electability to higher office.

Wouldn’t it be a radical concept if people focused on truth no matter where it leads instead of perverse loyalty that enables continued corruption of those in power. If you have to fake evidence just to win it’s WRONG & EVIL.

Government employees cheating = illegal. But they're judged by another government employee. It's all illegitimate at this point, kabuki.

Oh ok. So if I play the victim card by believing Raniere is a monster, then I'm cool. But if I call you out on your illogic, I'm playing the victim card and that's not cool. Did I get that right?

Oh wow. my bad I didn't realize you are a women. It's always great to play the gender victim card when you want eh?

I don't like what Raniere was doing, the cult/following/whatever that he developed. But if the government has to essentially cheat in order to prosecute him, then it kinda makes me doubt that he committed the crimes he is charged with.

I've been circling these folks for a bit and the only ones I have seen make proveably false statements are the anti-Ranire folks. Until recently I had little love for Rainere but no one works this hard against a guilty man.

Politician’s and bureaucrat’s job is to spend their careers figuring out how to make the agency they work for corrupt and get away with it. We make it way too easy for them when we don’t demand transparency, accountability and competition in every system.

Nice ad hominen attacks. The crime is not at issue here. It's the extra judicial attacks of the justice department that are the greatest danger. We do not have a functioning society with a lawless DOJ.

We have a system of justice in this country. It's not about believability. It's about innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. The government MUST be held to the highest standards of justice or we have no justice at all.

Omg you're right! I always just listen to words and believe them, without any critical thought or consideration of my life experience and reality. It's hard being a mindless woman, but I'm so glad there are men like you who can save me and show me the way!

Indeed, it brings into question whether or not ANY crimes were committed in the first place.

I agree. The FBI and DoJ did more than cheat and violate Ranier's due process. They manufactured evidence against him and lied under oath. As egregious as Raniere's other crimes were, what the govt did has far more reaching effects, as you noted.
